Neon Driftline
★★★★☆ 4.1
Neon Driftline isn't interested in realistic driving. It's about holding a drift through a neon corridor for as long as your nerve lasts, chaining corners into a combo that fills a boost meter. Get greedy and you smear yourself across a wall. It's arcadey in the best sense.
Controls are a two-thumb affair — tilt or touch steering, one button for the handbrake that starts your slide. It took me a couple of races to click with it, then it became muscle memory. The tracks are short, which makes the retry loop addictive.
There's not a huge amount of content, and the car unlocks come slowly, but the core feel is so satisfying that I kept restarting the same three tracks chasing a cleaner run.
What we liked
- Drift-focused handling that feels great
- Short tracks perfect for one-more-go sessions
